A: Yes. Completion of this 40-hour course is mandatory to apply for the Class D Unarmed Security License in Florida.
Q: What is the total cost to become licensed?
A: The course is $295. You will also need to pay for a background check, fingerprinting, and the state licensing fee (approximately $87 – $97, paid directly to the State of Florida).
Q: Will I receive my Security License after this course?
A: No. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate of completion. You must then submit your application to the State of Florida for your Class D License.
